Yukon Forest Fire Conditions:To access Yukon wildland fire bulletin, go to www.community.gov.yk.ca/firemanagement/. If you plan to burn grass, brush or debris between April 1 and September 30, you are required to obtain a Burning Permit. Burning Permits are required for all PUBLIC and PRIVATE lands (subject to municipal bylaws). Burning Permits are free. Obtain your permit from your local Wildland Fire Management or Client Services District Office. Go to the wildland fire website for information. Burning permits are suspended wherever the fire danger rating is moderate, high or extreme. Campfires are still permitted. Please check bulletin from the wildland fire website for list of communties and fire ratings (posted daily). Please remember, never leave your campfire unattended, and always take proper care to extinguish your campfire completely. To report a wildfire, call 1-888.798.FIRE (3473). Ask for a copy of Wild Fire Management (WFM) campfire safety card at any Visitor Information Centre.

Town of Faro: Travelers are advised that there is no retail fuel outlet in the town of Faro. Visitors and residents are asked to fuel up in Carmacks or Ross River before heading to Faro.
