Other Funding for Yukon Artists and Art Organizations
Yukon Filmmakers Funding
The Yukon Film & Sound Commission provides funding support for development, production, training, and location incentives for Yukon filmmakers and businesses filming in Yukon as well as support to established film and television producers beyond Yukon who partner with Yukon producers.
Yukon Sound Recording Program
The Yukon Film & Sound Commission offers funding support for the production of Yukon artists' demo or sound recording projects.
Yukon Film & Sound Industries Marketing Support
The Yukon Film & Sound Commission, through the Department of Economic Development, offers funding support to Yukon film and sound industries for market expansion and business development activities.
Federal Funding for Festivals: Arts and Heritage
The Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program provides support for both local arts and heritage festivals that feature local artists and artisans or local heritage, as well as major historical anniversaries of local importance. Applications are now available for local arts and heritage festivals and community historical anniversaries.
Canada Cultural Spaces Fund
This fund seeks to improve physical conditions for artistic creativity and innovation. It is also designed to increase access for Canadians to performing arts, visual arts, media arts, and to museum collections and heritage displays. The Fund supports the improvement, renovation and construction of arts and heritage facilities, and the acquisition of specialized equipment as well as conducting feasibility studies.
City of Whitehorse Festivals and Special Events Fund
For multi-faceted programs within a defined period of time, using budgets that are distinct from regular operating budgets of the hosting organization. Festivals must demonstrate broad community participation and an established audience, or a significant potential audience. Festival programs should offer participants a unique experience not duplicated by other on-going organizations and their activities.
