Business Fact Sheets

The Yukon Tourism Business Fact Sheets are designed to give you, the entrepreneur, basic information to help turn your ideas into a successful business.

The Business Fact Sheets are arranged in three sets:

1) The Tourism Industry - an introduction to who's who in the tourism industry and an overview of the three sets, with a brief synopsis of the overall contents.

2) Essential Research - an overview of the planning and research process together with some fundamental considerations for your business development. Topics include, start with a plan, land and location, and playing by the rules.

3) Business Planning - an introduction to the various components of business, financial and marketing plans. Topics include, writing a business plan, packaging and partnerships, human resources, up and running, writing a financial plan, where to get money, minding your business, marketing 101, web/internet marketing, market research, writing a marketing plan, developing your product, channelling your business and communicating with your customers.

Some entrepreneurs may decide to print a copy of each sheet, others may only be interested in a few specific subjects. In either case the sheets act as a starting point. From here, you can go on to gather more of the information you need to succeed.
