Artifact Inventory & Cataloguing

Provides assistance with the collection management of Yukon museum collections.

The focus of this program is on the management of the Yukon museums database including the development of database templates and lexicon. Also included is the set-up and back-up of all digital collections files, the training of registrars and cataloguers and the maintenance of collection standards.

The co-ordinator of this program works with the Canadian Heritage Information Network on projects of national scope. The Yukon Museum Guide website (www.yukonmuseums.ca) was developed through this program and is currently maintained by the Collections Registration Co-ordinator.
