The program provides the opportunity for community participation and student training, and facilitates the integration of oral history and archaeology in documenting the regional history. The program also raises the public awareness of Yukon First Nations history through the publication of a series of popular booklets and through the creation of small exhibits and displays for use in school programs and First Nations Interpretive Centres.
Artifact casts used in the displays are made from the original artifacts by the Histric Sites Unit Restoration & Reproduction Specialist.
